About the role
ac.care is seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in achieving successful outcomes across ac.care’s system replacement projects and governance initiatives. For this new and dynamic role, we seek a generalist who can work across domains to successfully support wide-ranging changes within ac.care. The Business Analyst brings enthusiasm to their work and those they work with. Independence, flexibility and an outcomes focus are needed to map current state business needs against future-state system functionality. As our systems transformation efforts continue, the Business Analyst will be a driver of positive change within our business units and ensure the as-built processes are documented for future growth. Our body of work encompasses major projects across our corporate functions (in particular focusing on a new Client Management System) as well as corporate processes such as risk management, incident handling and KPIs. With more than 40 programs operating across multiple funding bodies, aligning process and highlighting key metrics will allow for quicker decision making within ac.care. This role offers a genuine opportunity to make a meaningful difference within ac.care through focused generational change and in turn support our staff improve lives within the regional communities in which we operate. Job responsibilities include:
- Map, analyse and determine needs of current business processes in order to better meet their within new systems.
- Support business units transition from current to future state through planned and measured activities.
- Partner with stakeholders across business and service units to develop analysis and documentation collaboratively, communicating effectively and efficiently with stakeholders.
- Maintain a reference of business processes to help guide future business decisions.
- Develop and implement quality controls to ensure record integrity and safety.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.
- Aid in project and initiative status reporting activities for internal and external needs.

- Current SA Driver's Licence ‘Class C’ or interstate equivalent
- Current Satisfactory Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes
- Bachelor's degree in business, data science, psychology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in process analysis including demonstrated experience in business analysis techniques or frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting complex processes and data sets to align tasks and determine core information sets
- Demonstrated experience in whole-of-business change initiatives
- Demonstrated experience in key organisation-wide systems projects, such as client management, HR, rostering
- Demonstrated knowledge of information security in relation to vulnerable client data and safeguarding
- Demonstrated experience in communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Comprehensive project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Highly Regarded
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.
- Experience working with staff at all levels of a business, from client-facing to executive.
- Experience as a team player who can maintain effective relationships (remotely and in person) across a broad spectrum of stakeholders and time pressures.
- Experience working with with corporate governance functions and process alignment
- Hands-on experience with large business systems (CRM, HR, workforce management)
- Experience with using tools such as PowerBI and Excel for data manipulation and reporting
- Previous experience in working in the not-for-profit sector.
- Understanding of current community sector trends, issues, and challenges.
- Experience in project and data frameworks/methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, BABOK
