Your Part in our UnitingCare team:
The Business Analyst has responsibility for analysing business requirements, conducting business process modelling, planning, design, build, testing and implementation activities for business change initiatives, current and future state documentation, creating training materials.
Working as part of the Better Together program, the role requires a Business Analyst who will partner with key internal and external stakeholders to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and systems. They will be required to drive innovation and agility through the approach to solving business problems and opportunities through process change and technology solutions
You will focus on:
- Collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organisation, to lead a dialogue about process design options, identify and design innovative solutions that meet business needs
- Provide strong process and requirements leadership to all stakeholders involved
- Influence and negotiate with key stakeholders to understand the business process and customer requirements to ensure the best requirements fit and cost-effective solutions are implemented
Frameworks, tools, and processes
- Adherence to the design and implementation of standards and frameworks for;
- Requirements specifications
- User stories
- Business process modelling (based on BPMN / APQC, or similar)
- Repository for business process models
- Deliver business analysis capability across multiple project approaches including Agile and Waterfall projects.
Business Process Mapping
- Identify opportunities for process improvement
- Collaborate with the business to baseline the current process and design future state process
- Document new processes and assist the business with updating process documentation
- Collaborate with the Business Change Manager to provide information and support the business during the transition to new process
Business Requirements Gathering and Tracking
- Partner with key stakeholders to analyse, define and document business requirements
- Ensure all teams understand the expectations of internal customers / recipients of corporate services
- Define and document detailed services catalogues, associated SLAs and new processes for corporate services functions
- Lead the management of the requirements lifecycle through to project completion and handover
- Lead the identification and resolution of priority issues
Project Delivery
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop training material and handover documentation to BAU owner
- Maintain strong project hygiene over task management, deliverables, Jira boards
- Undertake other duties as required/directed as service needs change or grow (consistent with the above, within the scope of the position and any other legal or industrial obligations).
What makes a difference for us:
The successful candidate will ideally present with:
- Formal tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline
- Demonstrated previous experience in a similar Business Analysis role.
- Experience as a Business Analyst in a related industry, for example delivering community services, health, disabilities or aged care.
- Demonstrated experience in successfully influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve goals
- Experience working across multiple platforms and technologies
- Proven ability to elicit and document meaningful business requirements
- Prove ability to understand and document business processes using standard notation
- Experience in influencing others and obtaining consensus
- Detailed understanding of business analysis techniques and best practice
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Excellent problem solving and problem resolution skills
- Facilitation skills and an ability to achieve consensus
- Collaborative approach to achieving consensus
