Out Federal Government Client is seeking multiple skilled Business Analysts. The Business Analyst role is a pivotal role with our client. The Business Analyst is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the Agency’s to advance the interests across a range of forums.About the role:

• Identifying and documenting current business processes to create baseline understanding of current situation and processes.
• Creating and facilitating process design improvements by conducting business and systems process analysis.
• Providing program/stream level analysis and producing required analysis documentation.
• Providing expertise and supporting the Product Owner to elaborate user stories, acceptance criteria and process maps with the input from SMEs.
• Providing assistance to Product Owner with the use of internal systems
• Evaluating effectiveness of proposed solutions and design.
• Leading transition of business requirements over to build teams for development.
• Supporting verification testing of the built solution to ensure alignment to business requirements.

About you:

• Business process analysis: Proficiency in analysing and documenting current state versus future state process maps.
• Requirement gathering: Ability to elicit, document and manage business requirements into Epics and User Stories
• Problem-solving: Strong problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements
• Testing: Ability to undertake systems testing against defined acceptance criteria during the build and testing cycles of development
• Stakeholder engagement: Facilitating workshops with other stakeholders, Business Analysts, User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI) Designers and technology teams.
• Risk assessment: Identifying potential issues or risks, tracking problems, recommending alternatives, and escalating issues as appropriate.
• Supporting product end users including responding to feedback, collecting evidence of a defect, organising testing or other activities.
• System thinking: Developing and maintaining subject matter expertise across new systems and processes within the Agency

Desirable skills:

• Data analysis: Skill in analysing data to identify trends and insights
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies like Agile or Kanban
• Business Analysis Tools: Knowledge of tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and workflow management
• Process Improvement: Experience in recommending and implementing process improvements
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members from various disciplines

• Full time hours Monday to Friday
• Locations considered – Surry Hills, Newcastle, Melbourne, Geelong and Brisbane
• APS6 - $60.26 per hour + super
• EL1- $602.55 per day + super
