Business Analyst

Our client is a major player in the Western Australian property market. They are committed to creating high-quality retail and commercial properties that benefit both their tenants and the wider community.
Due to company expansion and a focus on data to drive high performance, an opportunity has arisen for a Business Analyst to join the team.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Through the use of various analytical tools, provide a snapshot of current performance within the business.
• Support of existing and creation of Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business reporting requirements.
• Transform raw data to provide insights, reports, visualisations, and forecasts.
• Collaborate with the team to develop metrics used in performance assessment and KPI’s.
• Create procedures and policies used in the collection and analysis of data.
• Gathering and analysing data to determine priorities and set workflows.
• Overseeing database infrastructure, ETL and the development of new data integration tools.
• Perform data accuracy checks to improve consistency across multiple reports.
• Critically evaluating and screening data, and profiling to identify issues.
• Administration, including the collection and utilisation of data.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• A relevant degree qualification in Data Science, Analytics, IT, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent, AND/OR
• 1-2 years+ practical experience spanning Business Intelligence/Business Analysis/Reporting.
• Excellent ability in data gathering requirements.
• Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g. Power BI).
• Programming ability in relevant languages such as SQL, R, Python.
• Understanding of functional design and data modelling best practices.
