The successful candidate will be working on the Marine Rescue Implementation Program (MRIP) which is tasked with the establishment of Marine Rescue Queensland (MRQ). MRQ will provide blue water rescue capability under the new Emergency Management Capability Command of the Queensland Police Service.
The Program is in the pre-transition phase and has just stood up several projects under a renewed program delivery approach and we are looking to engage with a Business Analyst who can help deliver this programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the program team and key stakeholders, across multiple projects to identify and understand the business needs and objectives of customers;
- Conduct research, data analysis and modelling to evaluate the current state and identify gaps and opportunities;
- Develop and document clear and detailed business requirements, presentation, policies and future state process documentation;
- Assist in creating end-to-end operational capability maps and document these processes
- Ensures that technical deliverables adhere to standardised frameworks, acceptance criteria, usability and general fitness for their intended purpose;
- Ensure that governance for business solutions is upheld and project deliverables meet the specified requirements;
- Assist in creating end-to-end operational capability maps and document these processes; and
- Evaluate the outcomes and benefits of the business solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement workflows.
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge and / or experience in project management methodologies;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities; and
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
