Tasks & responsibilities
- Understanding and capturing end-to-end workflows and defining business rules
- Working with the team to ensure that they understand the specifications required to deliver a quality product to the business and its clients
- Working with the team to document changes and create release notes, as well as training plans for internal stakeholders, if required
- Conducting business process modelling and generating applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team
- • Triaging defects and bugs related to current projects and the platform; as well as facilitating the implementation of new functionality into production and assisting with the triage of any issues
- Promoting continuous improvement and innovation in the scrum team
- Working with the Product Development Manager to publish and review user stories, required documents and release notes
- Assisting with user testing to confirm issues/bugs/results of specific features with the development team, to expedite fixes/releases
- Coordinating UAT activities with internal and external users, as required
- Working with stakeholders to ensure internal team process documentation is updated as part of any release
- Participating in all sprint ceremonies, as well as documenting and communicating items to be actioned
Qualifications & experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications.
- 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in software development role (SDLC)
- Intermediate to advanced UI / UX and application flow skills.
- Must be in current role for 12 months or more.
- Have experience in Agile development methodology.
- Must be in Australia now and have full working rights VISA with no conditions.

• Possesses, or can quickly develop, an excellent understanding of lifestyle, aged and disability sectors in the health care industry, for the purpose of designing software that meets specific sector needs and is fully compliant with relevant legislation
• Successfully engages with industry sector representatives and stakeholders, as required, to gain knowledge, seek feedback and arrange evaluation of proposed software design documentation
• Possesses, or can quickly develop, an awareness of competitor software and its features
Feature planning
• Works with the team to define the business problems and primary objectives of new projects as they relate to the product roadmap
• Analyses and models the business domain to create a complete picture of work-flows and technical requirements fulfilled by existing and proposed features
• Assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or to suggest operational changes
• Conducts impact analyses to assess the potential implications of changes in system functions and requirement.
Detail and confirm feature requirements
• Works with the team to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access
• Maps functional requirements for use cases/ user stories
• Coordinates requirement walk-throughs and sign-offs, verifying with users/stakeholders that use cases and process models meet business needs
Work with development team
• Works with the development and testing teams in the analysis, design, development, testing and maintenance of products
• Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality
Tracking and training
• Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications
• Provides technical assistance/performs internal training for sales and support teams
