Challenge yourself and pave out the next step in your career where the opportunities for development and progression are endless.What you'll doWe are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our eComX Finance team on a permanent basis supporting our last mile delivery team, HomeRun. This role will partner closely with our Fleet and Delivery Partner Operations teams to facilitate the financial performance, oversight, insights and reporting of our various delivery channels. More than just an accounting function, our eComX finance team members are sought after commercial business partners and advisors who understand the business' strategic direction and how our decisions affect our commercial outcomes. You will collaborate to shape successful business decisions and maintain trust and credibility through an independent voice whilst maintaining the financial integrity of the business.In this role you will:
  • Partner with the eCom Fleet and Point-to-point Operation teams and become a trusted finance partner to the business through the provision of commercial insights, financial reporting, productivity support to help drive improved delivery costs across our eCom B2C and Woolies at Work Customers.
  • Work in an agile environment including finance teams within the eCom Store and CFC teams, Network Routing & Operations and Data Insights teams across WooliesX to deliver best practice productivity enhancements to our evolving CFC operations.
  • Deliver month-end results correctly to achieve an accurate and timely close including the preparation of Delivery Cost for various Group Businesses. You will also provide assistance in the preparation of quarterly and half yearly performance reporting for the HomeRun team.
  • Provide support and contact in the development of HomeRun business cases and preparation of performance investment reviews providing recommendations and insights on the results.
  • Lead the monthly Delivery Cost Forecast process by working with our operations teams in addition to being the key contact on the Annual Operating Plan for delivery costs.
  • Provide support to project teams and track and report on benefits impacting our Smart Delivery Initiatives.

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience and ideally CA/CPA qualified but open to candidates working towards CA/CPA
  • Strong business partnering skills and a desire to understand our business more through site visits, delivery ride alongs and immersion experiences
  • Competent knowledge of financial accounting standards and ability to interpret and apply the frameworks as required
  • Great presentation skills and able to communicate effectively to a broad range of individuals / audiences in a simple and concise manner
  • Advanced Excel and Presentation skills with demonstrated experience in both areas
  • Strong data analysis and modelling skills to analyse and summarise high volumes of data, SAP experience preferred and GCP familiarity is advantageous
  • Strong attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively towards finding sustainable long term solutions
