About the Office of Academic Quality and Enhancement, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Students) Portfolio

The Office of Academic Quality and Enhancement was formed in 2023 and is led by the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic Quality and Enhancement).  The Office is responsible for Curriculum Services,  Student Policy and Integrity Services, Quality and Enhancement and Academic Quality, Compliance and Risk functions. he Office of Academic Quality and Enhancement is within the Portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students). This Portfolio provides support to key strategic and operational functions of the University’s student-related and academic services. Under the general portfolio, the Office team support Portfolio leadership and facilitate dialogue between key service areas to help the Portfolio ensure Flinders’ educational offerings are innovative, of assured quality, and are student centred. About the Role

The Academic Quality and Enhancement team has an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst (Policy and Process). As the Business Analyst (Policy and Process) you will gather, document, prioritise and maintain detailed business requirements for services and Processes under review or scheduled for renewal.

Working within a supportive team, you will ensure continuity of service standards and outcomes, whilst also being responsible for:

• Independently applying a variety of strategies, analysing and evaluating information gathered from multiple sources to determine, synthesise and documents business requirements and Processes.
• Developing and delivering written and visual models of current and future-stated business process using a variety of tools and techniques to engage business, process and system owners.
• Applying standardisation and rigour to documenting and recording business rules and conventions across diverse functions.

About You

The Business Analyst (Policy and Process) will hit the ground running, as you demonstrate your ability to develop and deliver written and visual models of current and future-state business processes, utilising a variety of tools and techniques that engage a wide range of stakeholders. You will have high level communication skills, including experience in developing quality documentation in a variety of formats for use by process designers, decision makers and end users representing a range of academic, professional staff and student perspectives.

The successful Business Analyst (Policy and Process), will also demonstrate:

• Progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area, such as Business Information Systems, Design, Information Technology and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Ability applying a variety of strategies to gather, review, prioritise and analyse business requirements.
• Knowledge of relevant higher education legislative requirements, standards and trends.
• Demonstrated experience in the identification and tracking of business benefits within a complex service environment.
