About the Role
We work in a wide range of technologies and platforms, and our client base is highly varied across many industries. We develop mobile, desktop, and web for both cloud and on-premises environments. We also work in AI and Data platforms and Modern Workplace (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc).
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will be reporting to the Head of Software. The primary objective is to collaborate with clients to bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities.
You will be working closely with our Software Development and Consulting teams to qualify work according to our client's needs and translate this work into best-fit solutions, providing a pipeline of work for the development team. You will be responsible for leading and performing analyst work as well as being an advocate for the client within the Software Development team.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Clients to surface requirements for technical solutions in close consultation with Technical Specialists.
- Liaise with key Business Stakeholders to provide expertise, and to seek clarification on, Business Requirements.
- Analyse, design, and document functional and technical changes to core applications.
- Perform peer review of functionality for your clients’ applications.
- Assist with the development phase by providing the voice of the client and resolving queries from developers.
- Use JIRA to create Epics, Stories, and Acceptance Criteria to create a detailed Scope of Works for applications and new functionality.
- Drive opportunity development by working with clients to undertake pre-project estimation and surfacing options.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as an analyst specialising in software development projects.
Knowledge in programming or with technical background is well regarded.
Experience working in an Agile environment and DevOps work practices.
Proficiency in requirements management tool (e.g. JIRA, Confluence)
Knowledge and experience in mobile and web applications for business operations and Cloud based solutions is an advantage.
Certificate in Business Analysis / Qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, or relevant discipline or equivalent experience is a plus.
