Our client, a very large, Federal Government Organisation, whose focus is to assist government policy in regards to expenditure, financial management and operations of government, are Seeking the experience of a Business Analyst (SOP & BCP - ERP) for a 12 + 6 month contract, based in Forrest ACT.
Duties of the Business Analyst
- Facilitate the establishment of standardisation and consistency across Standard Operating Procedures and Business Continuity Plan documentation.
Engage collaboratively with staff, clients, and internal Technical and Business areas to determine the requirements of the business and formulate solutions to enhance the functionality of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and related systems. - Comprehensively understand and rigorously test the existing state of business processes to evaluate their suitability and effectiveness in meeting operational needs.
- Identify and trace requirements from initial workshops, from an analysis of standard ERP software processes and configurations through gap analysis and review workshops to formulate best practice processes and provide a record of decisions.
- Develop key artefacts for SDO in relation to business and system requirements.
- Effectively and efficiently using business modelling systems and tools.
- Undertake all business analysis activities to ensure deliverables are produced and delivered on time, developed according to defined standards, and ensure chosen approaches, methodologies and recommendations are appropriate and cost effective.
- Provide regular progress reports on all assigned work, advice on effort estimation of analysis activities and resources requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
- Highly developed analytical skills.
- A comprehensive understanding of business processes.
- Proficiency in business modelling and process mapping.
- Exceptional use of modelling, documentation, and record-keeping tools.
- Demonstrated strength in influencing, engagement, and execution.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders by offering timely, strategic, and valuable advice.
- Experience in using structured approaches and frameworks.
- Extensive business analysis experience in corporate business functions.
- Experience with SAP/ERP (desired).
- Previous experience in the public sector (desired).
