Job Summary:
The Test Analyst will play a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of SAP HR and Payroll solutions within the organisation. Working closely with project stakeholders and the project team, the Test Analyst will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting testing activities to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of the SAP HR and Payroll system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to define test objectives, scope, and strategies for SAP HR and Payroll implementation.
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on business requirements and system design specifications.
- Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance tests to validate the SAP HR and Payroll system.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of business processes to ensure seamless integration and data integrity.
- Identify, prioritise, and report defects using designated defect tracking tools.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
- Implement test automation strategies to increase efficiency and repeatability of testing activities.
- Create and maintain test data sets required for testing SAP HR and Payroll functionalities.
- Ensure data integrity and consistency across testing environments.
- Document test results, including defects, test coverage, and test execution metrics.
- Prepare test summary reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
- Work closely with SAP functional consultants, developers, Business Analysts, and end-users to understand requirements and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with project team members to ensure alignment on testing priorities and timelines.
- Participate in lessons learned sessions to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Contribute to the enhancement of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Test Analyst or similar role, with a focus on SAP HR and Payroll projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP HR and Payroll modules, including configuration, business processes, and integration points.
- Proficiency in test planning, test design, test execution, and defect management.
- Experience with test automation tools such as HP UFT, Selenium, or SAP TAO is desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in SAP HCM or related areas is a plus.
