Fusion Walan Miya Group (FWM Group) is looking for a ‘go-getter’ Business Development Assistant to join our sales team in a supportive role with aspirations of career growth in operations and sales.
FWM Group owns and operates two Nationally Accredited Registered Training Organisations (RTO’s), Fusion Training Solutions RTO 91812 and Walan Miya RTO 21359. Located in the Illawarra, Byron Bay and the Far South Coast of NSW, FWM Group provides a range of training opportunities across the state of NSW.

THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to engage a Business Development Assistant on a permanent basis to assist in driving our commercial activity across numerous sectors in regional New South Wales. This position is to report directly to the CEO and Regional Business Development Manager.
You will cultivate and strengthen partnerships with existing educational partners in the civil, construction, local government, water and demolition sectors. This position will be based in Byron Bay but we have flexibility to work from any of our offices in New South Wales from time to time.
Your key accountabilities will be:
- The execution of sales and marketing activities, including creating marketing collateral for external and social media use
- Maintaining customer relationships
- Developing presentations and flyers
- Creating training plans and using FWM Group software management systems
- Generating key reports for the CEO and sales team
- Assist in sales and business planning
- Developing new business and delivering on category growth
ABOUT YOU
No direct experience within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector is necessary but you are a self-starter that can work within a dynamic team. You have the ability to do quality work on Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams. Reporting to the CEO and Regional Manager, you would like to develop your sales and interpersonal skills to grow into an impactful member of the Organisation. You can learn quickly and adapt to change when necessary and your forward-thinking mindset allows you to tackle any challenge and unlock sales opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication styles accordingly are essential.
- The ability to organise your own workload to achieve deadlines with a high attention to detail.
- A knowledge of the VET industry is not necessary
- A Full Australian valid Driver’s License is also required.
- Has a quality understanding of the Microsoft software suite package.
