In a typical week in this job, you are likely to do the following things:
- In conjunction with site staff, identify individual participants employment strengths and aspirations.
- Source vacancies matched to participant needs.
- Proactively engage in the local business community to identify and understand local business needs.
- Negotiate Wage Subsidies, workplace support and other support options to enhance participant employment prospects using available program funding sources.
- Provide feedback to other team members to assist participant development.
- Refer participants to vacancies.
- Confirm job placements that you have sourced and assist with the provision of post placement support or ongoing support as required.Where required, coordinate workplace assessments and job redesign.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate records and activity summaries in relevant software programs.
- Travel to employers.
- Provide information and support to employers/host employers on employment matters.
- Represent CVGT at relevant stakeholder meetings, industry groups, education days and employer networking events.
- Lead initiatives that drive community and employer engagement designed to increase placements.
- Participate in a regular audit schedule which includes Department assurance activity audits, internal quality audits and other program related audits.
- Assist with the collection of documentary evidence to support claims and processes required for usage of available program funding sources
