- The Deputy Director Strategy and Business Development key result areas include:
- Lead and provide direction for the strategic planning, business planning and financial management of Service Tasmania and identify and implement opportunities for the growth of the business and improved service delivery outcomes to customers.
- Lead and manage whole of government strategic initiatives and projects associated with improving the delivery of customer services to the Tasmanian community. This includes oversight of all financial, human and technology infrastructure with each initiative.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams (concurrently) that may include representatives from various State government agencies, Commonwealth government agencies and private organisations to implement identified whole of government initiatives.
- Foster and develop relationships with State government agencies and other partner organisations at a senior executive level that will support the implementation of strategic whole of government initiatives to improve the delivery of customer services to the Tasmanian community.
- Lead and provide direction for the Service Tasmania budget, including budget planning and forecasting, Capital Works and financial management of operational business budgets.
- Provide high level specialist advice to the Director of Service Tasmanian and whole of government committees in conjunction with senior executives across government on improving the delivery of customer services to the Tasmanian community.
- Clearly articulate highly complex concepts and difficult implementation issues of whole of government initiatives with diverse stakeholders. This includes the early identification of risks and associated mitigation strategies.
- As a member of the Service Tasmania Senior Executive Team, provide high level advice and specialist knowledge to contribute to the leadership, strategic planning, policy development and future direction of Service Tasmania.
- Represent Service Tasmania and the Department of Premier and Cabinet in forums (including representation on national committees) as required and providing commitment to negotiated outcomes.
- Develop and maintain networks with other Government service delivery organisations to ensure that Service Tasmania remains a contemporary, best practice service delivery organisation.
