Business Development Consultant - DevonportWorkForce Australia / Disability Employment ServicesIn a typical week in this job, you are likely to do the following things:In conjunction with site staff, identify individual participants employment strengths and aspirations.Source vacancies matched to participant needs. Proactively engage in the local business community to identify and understand local business needs.Negotiate Wage Subsidies, workplace support and other support options to enhance participant employment prospects using available program funding sources.Provide feedback to other team members to assist participant development.Refer participants to vacancies.Confirm job placements that you have sourced and assist with the provision of post placement support or ongoing support as required.Where required, coordinate workplace assessments and job redesign.Monitor and maintain appropriate records and activity summaries in relevant software programs.Travel to employers. Provide information and support to employers/host employers on employment matters. Represent CVGT at relevant stakeholder meetings, industry groups, education days and employer networking events.Lead initiatives that drive community and employer engagement designed to increase placements.Participate in a regular audit schedule which includes Department assurance activity audits, internal quality audits and other program related audits.
