About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong strategic mindset, excellent relationship-building skills and a deep understanding of the Defence industry to join NIOA. Working collaboratively across NIOA Australia and New Zealand, you will be responsible for pursuing and capturing Defence business opportunities, aligned to the company's growth and strategic direction.
This is a Melbourne based role however, highly suitable candidates in Canberra and Brisbane will be considered.
About You
We are seeking a results-driven individual to join the Business Development team and spearhead our strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess robust Defence industry knowledge and extensive experience in Business Development. You will have demonstrated success in identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving growth and achieving targets, while enhancing our market presence.
Key requirements
- Develop capture plans to a level of detail commensurate with the value and level of complexity of the opportunity and in accordance with established NIOA procedures.
- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials for key customers and supplier meetings. This will cover the customer environment, procurement process, business conditions, NIOA Group’s products and services, and the competitive landscape.
- Apply an in-depth knowledge of the industry to create advanced capture strategies to include stakeholder mapping, shaping and influencing, communications planning, solution definition, and pricing development.
- Participate in the analysis of immediate through long term customer requirements and provide input into strategic level capture plans and capture campaigns.
- Contribute towards the strategic plans of the General Manager Business Development and NIOA’s Senior Leadership Team.
- The Business Development Manager will assist in the development of NIOA’s annual multi-year sales forecast.
