Address What's the role?
As a Business Development Manager you will generate new business revenue for News Corp Australia by engaging with new and lapsed clients, identifying business needs and proactively meeting those through multi-media solutions to achieve revenue targets and performance metrics.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute effective cold calling - opening a professional sales call, engaging with a prospect, using deliberate questioning to uncover a need/problem we can solve - gaining agreement with the prospect to do a discovery meeting
- Source, qualify and secure new business through pre call planning, effective questioning, solution design, selling, identifying objections, setting expectations and closing
- Use appropriate selling tactics to gain acceptance of a product, service or idea from a customer
- Book & facilitate meetings in person or over video, inviting internal stakeholders to support presentation if appropriate
- Work collaboratively with leaders, support roles and colleagues across local, national and state teams
- Manage opportunities & sales pipeline in Salesforce CRM to support forecasting
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets
Who are you?
- Minimum 12 months of proven outbound sales experience meeting/exceeding sales targets
- Experience in providing sales based solutions in either face to face or virtual sales team environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Experience working in Media/Advertising sales (desirable)
- Experience working in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Resilient, determined, tenacious, positive mindset is a must
- Effectively collaborated with individuals from diverse backgrounds and foster an inclusive and respectful work environment
