THE OPPORTUNITY

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Business Development Managerbased in Newcastle. This position involves working as part of our collaborative Trade team - reporting to the Trade Sales Manager.

This is a FULL TIME role - working 38 hours per week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our Thornton Sales team you will be the key point of contact across the region between Stratco and our customers. This will involve:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with all assigned customers
  • Identifying and developing new customers and confident in cold calling
  • Focus on growth of sales
  • Identifying new product and market opportunities
  • Liaising with the operations team to improve product design and customer service
  • Preparing project quotations and sales proposals
  • Collaborate with team members, other business areas and projects as required
  • Strict adherence to our critical safety rules & contributing to a safe working environment

ABOUT YOU

  • A proven sales track record, preferably in the building industry
  • Be action oriented and able to effectively communicate at all levels
  • Be a hands on, self-driven and practical person with a good technical ability
  • Have the ability to work in a team environment
  • Have excellent business building and prospecting skills
  • Estimating experience would be highly valued
  • The ability to manage multiple customers and priorities
  • Willingness to enhance the customer experience by working with enthusiasm, energy, and pace
  • Whilst experience is great, it’ll be your passion, reliable attitude and personality that set you apart
