Our client, based within the central Gold Coast region, is forging ahead within their sector, with a solid product range and a good reputation in the market. An opportunity has become available for a Business Development Manager to join the company in a full time salaried role with bonuses, as well as a fully maintained vehicle, phone and laptop.
Your role will be responsible for building relationships and seeking further opportunities with current clients as well as developing new business opportunities in the market from prospecting. We are looking for a skilled BDM that has confidence in their approach, enjoys the hunt and is strategic in securing new clients and building their business.
The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience as a BDM / sales representative / account manager
- Experience within a technical sales role – sealants, adhesives, marine, automotive, construction would be highly regarded
- A self-starter with a strategic approach to researching, generating leads, cold-calling, asking for referrals and following sales processes
- The demonstrated ability in past employment to meet/exceed KPI's, grow sales and your client base
- Excellent client service, account management, communication and negotiation skills
- Good administrative skills to create quotes/invoices and experience with MS Word, Excel, email and CRM software
