BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This is your opportunity to excel and build a rewarding sales career with a reputable organisation!

Your role will be focused on nurturing inbound leads and driving proactive outbound initiatives to expand the client base. Collaborating with your Estimating team to tailor client solutions, alongside regular coordination with your Business Development and Project Managers. A key objective for this position is to achieve a monthly sales target of $200k and to maintain a strong pipeline of prospective client meetings each week.

The role:

Lead Engagement and Solution Development:

  • Deeply engage with inbound leads to fully grasp their requirements.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the estimating team to tailor solutions that meet client needs.

Outbound Sales Initiatives:

  • Proactively seek out new leads through outbound sales activities.
  • Identify potential client needs, propose fitting solutions, and close deals effectively.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Dedicate efforts to sustain and enhance relationships with existing clients, ensuring their continued satisfaction and loyalty.

Collaborative Team Efforts:

  • Collaborate extensively with team members, including lead generators/BDMs, estimators, and project managers, to facilitate a smooth sales process and successful project outcomes.

Sales Performance:

  • Aim to not only meet but surpass monthly sales goals through diligent pipeline management and strategic client meetings.

ABOUT YOU:

You have energy and drive for cultivating new business opportunities which is matched by a genuine dedication and passion for building enduring client relationships.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

Industry Experience: 

  • Preferably from a construction background, with the skill to interpret technical documents and leverage practical industry knowledge effectively.

Sales Proficiency:

  • A history of successfully managing sales pipelines and surpassing challenging sales targets of a similar value.
  • Active engagement in outbound sales endeavors, with a proven ability to finalise deals.

Sales Acumen and Relationship Management:

  • Expertise in initiating leads, navigating the sales process, and securing transactions, with an emphasis on fostering enduring connections with clients.

Team Collaboration and Client Focus:

  • A big believer in working together and always putting the customer first.
  • Proficient in relationship maintenance, adept at managing difficult discussions, and persuasive in communication.

Cultural Compatibility:

Desirable:

  • CRM Experience: Previous experience utilising CRM systems such as Hubspot or Salesforce.
