ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end solution sales management - from prospecting/lead generation to product demos and then closing the deals.  We are seeking an experienced and autonomous ‘hunter’ who enjoys the fast paced, agile nature of a scale up business, who is as comfortable selling to SME customers as they are those large enterprise customers.   This role is Fully Remote, working from a home-based office.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Develop and implement innovative business strategies to enhance market penetration and increase sales opportunities, identifying and targeting new markets with potential for significant growth.
  • Drive lead generation and pipeline development through employing market analysis, cold calling, networking and digital outreach to not only generate new leads but also build and maintain a robust sales pipeline for sustained business growth.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation through to deal closure, ensuring a cohesive and effective process that maximizes both client satisfaction and revenue generation.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, clearly articulating the features and benefits of the software to drive engagement and facilitate decision-making processes.
  • Ensure seamless integration and transition for new clients by coordinating with customer support and technical teams.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, working to understand their business needs and explore opportunities for further expansion and deeper integration of company offerings.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal team (including Marketing, Product Development and Customer Success), to align efforts and enhance overall business growth.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust Business Development strategies, providing feedback to the product and marketing teams to help refine product offerings and marketing strategies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking meetings when required, enhancing brand visibility and generating business leads.

ABOUT YOU

You will be an experienced Business Development Manager, with a strong history of achieving sales targets. You will have a high-energy and high-performance mindset, with innovative problem-solving skills that will have you thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.   You will have experience working with both enterprise and mid-market level customers, ideally within a start-up/scale-up level SaaS business.  

More specifically you will have:

  • Proven track record of successful Business Development and achieving targets within a B2B SaaS industry, with at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.  Experience within SaaS, IVMS and/or safety will be very highly regarded.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing a sales pipeline, working with not only incoming marketing leads but using out-of-the-box techniques to hunt new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including evidence of building strong relationships internally and customers.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Driven and results orientated, a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth start-up to scale-up environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (HubSpot preferred).
  • A strong team player who can also work both independently and part of a team.
