ABOUT THE ROLE
The Business Development Manager role primarily focuses on Contract Logistics, utilising our client's extensive 3PL & Transport assets network. The successful candidate will be a traditional hunter, sourcing, converting, and onboarding new business. Notably, the position has a book of leads for the candidate to explore. This role also involves working closely with business directors who bring a wealth of knowledge of transport and logistics sales.
DUTIES
• Explore and generate new business opportunities with the contract & 3PL logistics space
• Scope, price and present business proposals to key stakeholders
• Update and maintain sales platforms with relevant information
• Ability to cross-sell all the available products across the business
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Strong understanding of new business sales from lead generation to conversion
• Experience selling within the contract logistics space is imperative
• Ability to research, develop and open new sales opportunities
• Implementation of new strategies to increase business growth with internal departments
• Preparation of sales reports for management
