About the Opportunity:
Are you ready to be part of something historic? We're seeking an experienced Business Development Manager who's passionate about sales to join our team and help rejuvenate an iconic Australian brand. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, you'll have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of our wholesale and commercial sales and lead the development and implementation of strategic partnerships. This role can be based in either Victoria or Tasmania with work from home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing wholesale and retail accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in both wholesale and retail chains, strategically expanding our market presence.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and logistics to support the successful execution of sales strategies.
- Lead negotiations for longer-term strategic product collaborations, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
- Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimize product assortment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with customers to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Provide product training and support to retail partners to enhance product knowledge and drive sales.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to inform sales strategies and decision-making.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business or related field preferred.
- Proven track record of success in sales, with at least 5 years of experience in selling homewares and/or apparel.
- Experience working with wholesale and retail chains, with a strong understanding of the dynamics of both channels.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in analysing sales data and market trends.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and attend industry events.
