FUNCTION SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The Business Development Manager is accountable for:
Identifying opportunities for enrolment growth and developing a strategic approach for acquiring new enrolments.
Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies, providing the foundation for informed data-driven investment decision-making.
Creating compelling proposals, presentations, and pitches to effectively communicate with potential partners, funders and stakeholders.
Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with partners, funders and stakeholders, enhancing the organisation's reputation and fostering long-term collaborations.
Developing and executing revenue growth strategies including through grant applications, fundraising events, philanthropic opportunities for scholarships and partnerships, forecast growth targets, and tracking progress towards revenue and financial sustainability goals.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, learning, wellbeing and finance, to ensure alignment and efficient execution of Business Development strategies.
Conducting financial analysis and reporting to the Executive to monitor and analyse financial metrics related to Business Development efforts measuring the effectiveness of strategies and identifying areas for improvement.
Continuous improvement and innovation to stay informed about advancements in educational trends, technology as they pertain to the Business Development function within schools.
Developing Business Development strategies must be in accordance with Australian Educational Standards, Laws and Regulations.
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant area of study or equivalent experience
Management and leadership experience
Demonstrated capability in Relationship and Partnership management
Negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills
History of delivering effective grant-writing processes
Significant experience in philanthropic strategy development
