Business Development Manager

JSG Industrial Systems Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of John Sample Group Pty Ltd, is a leading supplier of lubrication, fire suppression and fuelling systems for mobile and fixed plant equipment. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager, SA/NT.

The position is a stand- alone role based in South Australia and will be working as a part of the sales team servicing an extensive distribution network and reporting to the relevant Regional Sales Manager. 

Key responsibilities

• Building and maintaining new and existing customer relationships
• Interacting with customers at all levels including maintenance, engineering and management.
• Effectively and strategically managing the region to drive growth and new business opportunities.
• Leveraging internal stakeholders to assist in developing new products and building new markets.
• Communicating effectively and being a part of a strong, cohesive national team  

About you

• Expertise in selling engineered products in industrial and mining markets.
• Strong financial acumen including understanding of key business drivers such as profit margins, forecast accuracy, customer satisfaction and budget management.
• Advanced analytical judgement demonstrated in the ability to use fact-based approach to drive sales and achieve goals and strategic objectives.
• Expert consultation skills therefore able to lead with influence and trust.
• Have a trade or engineering background preferably in lubrication, hydraulics or pneumatics.
• Results-driven and self-motivated.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel across South Australia and the Northern Territory.

This is a dynamic role where you will need to work autonomously but also be engaged as a passionate and enthusiastic team member. Your ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally will be critical to your success.
