About the role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our Victorian team. In this role, you will be instrumental in generating sales through both existing clients and acquisition of new business in the Victoria region, for our Risk and Fire Safety Compliance divisions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain ongoing, timely, and effective communications with prospective and existing customers regarding new business opportunities and additional services.
- Respond promptly to sales inquiries, recording events in designated locations (e.g., CRM, server).
- Continually seek opportunities for upselling and the inclusion of value-add services to existing and prospective customers.
- Communicate the latest product and service information to customers in a controlled and planned fashion.
- Establish and maintain a current knowledge of the latest business service offerings provided by AESC through collaboration with key stakeholders and accredited information sources.
- Generate new business leads, prepare quotes, and respond to tender requests.
- Ensure high-quality presentation standards across all outgoing marketing materials and communications.
- Enlist assistance or coordinate resources relevant to sales activities.
- Provide ongoing consultancy to customers, offering practical and viable business solutions.
- Collaborate with the Victorian and National Sales Managers to formulate, analyze, and coordinate targeted approaches for Sales and Marketing activities.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will bring:
- strong verbal and written communications skills
- good, working knowledge of Microsoft programs
- previous experience in a similar role
- ability to communicate in a team environment and work autonomously
- industry experience would be highly regarded
