The role: Sales and Business Development Manager for Independents

As our ideal candidate, you'll be a key player, adept at engaging with business owners and distributors at a high level. You'll also provide invaluable support to the store teams, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated, engaging and hands-on Sales Manager to join a growing, energetic team in an ASX listed company based in Moorabbin, VIC.

Responsibilities:

Customer Success - Providing outstanding customer experiences in both B2B and B2C channels, becoming a product expert and providing outstanding ongoing product and service support to new and existing customers (both B2B and B2C).

Health Food Channel - Improving our presence and increasing revenue from existing and new customers across all brands.

Liaising with the Marketing Team – Developing material to support promotional and marketing campaigns based on sales strategies and driving sustainable revenue growth through improving product penetration at store level. 

Work cohesively with Sales/Marketing/Finance/NPD teams - Developing and supporting opportunities within new and existing customers. 

Grow customer value - Reengaging existing and lapsed customers and cold calling new customers across all brands, supporting the company to achieve YoY growth targets. 

Managing day-to-day communication - Working with existing and new customers and team members to identify growth opportunities, new prices, new product launches, claims periods, and anything that impacts the ongoing customer relationships as well as utilising existing and new tools to improve communication, sales growth and customer retention. 

Reporting - Weekly and monthly reporting of sales performance to identify gaps or opportunities to grow revenue, improve our understanding of our customers and ensure we make better decisions, drive sales growth and over deliver on customer expectations. 

Leadership – Senior leadership role within the Sales Team and direct management of 2 Sales Reps as well as distribution. Inspire, lead and mentor your team to promote the realisation of their potential and fostering a positive, “can-do” mindset. 

Occasional national travel may be required to meet clients and attend conferences/tradeshows. 

Successful candidates will have:

  • Proven experience and track record in sales management and growth, Business Development management, or a similar role with people leadership skills
  • Excellent organisational and relationship building skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience, ideally in the wellness and/or health food sales industries
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in implementing process improvements.
