Consisting of Internal Sales Reps, BDM’s/Major Account Managers, Sales Engineers and State and National Sales Managers, the company is well suited in every state to allow for quick and timely access to most of their clients or clients major projects.
The Role
A role has become available for an experienced Major Accounts Manager to look after their Newcastle and Northern NSW territory remotely from the Sydney Head Office. In this role you will be working with and reporting directly to the State Manager and National Sales Manager where you will maintain strong relationships with the key accounts as well as work to grow new clients within your territory.
You will focus mainly within the Power Generation and Petrochemical sectors, but will have freedom to expand into any other markets you see fit. You will actively engage current clients as well as new ones to manage the accounts, chase new projects and increase the companies product line within their business. The company already has a very strong presence and respected name within the industry so a warm welcome is usually received.
To be considered you must have a strong product knowledge and understanding of the following.
- Control Valves
- Heavy mining equipment such as Filter Press' also highly regarded
- Power Generation industries
- Petrochemical Industries

Requirements
- Minimum 5 years current BDM/Major Account Manager
- Experience selling into the Petrochemical or Power Generation markets
- Experience with Heavy Mining Machinery
- Sound understanding of Valves and Instrumentation
- Ability to analyze the market and research current market trends
- Ability to cold call and generate new business
- Proven ability to manage large key accounts
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to travel when required
The company will provide any needed training on their products that you are not familiar with and will work with you to make sure you are up to speed and have a sound understanding of their products, however you will need to have a general understanding and experience within this market as this can be a challenging role.
The company also offers specialised training days on new products and regularly organizes team days and events to give back to its staff.
