Role Summary
The Business Development Manager will take the lead on the acquisition of new business, on relationship building across a variety of stakeholders and for improving the overall market position of AICE. The role is responsible for controlling strategic direction and for identifying the regions or industries where business acquisition efforts will be focused. The BDM will seek to create new leads, embed new business agreements, and ensure that ongoing relationships are healthy and happy. The role also plays an active part in overseeing the delivery of services to clients,and ensuring that services are in line with customer service promises. The great priority and focus for the role is creating and maintaining enough business for the organisation to meet operational and growth targets.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients, inclusive of creating agreements and ensuring successful, ongoing partnerships
- Developing and maintaining the overall growth strategy for AICE, in line with understandings of the relevant sectors and regions
- Working closely with the RTO Manager and CEO of the company on a cohesive growth strategy, and providing reporting and updates around the progress for this
- Representing AICE at exhibitions, expositions and other networking events as required
Skills, Attributes and Experience
Our ideal candidate has significant experience operating as a sales or Business Development professional, with a proven track record of success and achievement, ideally within a health care sector or an RTO. They will have exceptional communication skills that culminate in an ability to build and maintain significant, meaningful relationships. They will take great pride in representing the values of the organisation they represent and in advocating for the services being delivered. Our ideal candidate will also be a natural self-motivator who is comfortable working autonomously and who will set themselves targets to go out and chase!
