Position Overview:
As a Business Development Officer at OpusXenta, you will be a crucial member of our sales team responsible for driving new business growth through cold calling and effectively articulating our value proposition. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is excited about the challenge of generating leads, qualifying prospects, and closing deals in a professional and consultative manner.
The successful applicant can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting and Cold Calling: Proactively identify and target potential clients through research, cold calling and other lead generation techniques. You will be responsible for creating a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
- Lead Qualification: Assess the needs and requirements of potential clients to determine if our SaaS solutions align with their business objectives.
- Sales Presentations: Conduct online and in-person (when required) sales presentations and demonstrations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our software.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients through ongoing communication and follow-up.
- Trade Shows: Represent the company at trade shows and before and after trade shows, contacts attendees to set meetings, send announcements, follow-up on contact
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our SaaS products and services, staying updated on the latest features and benefits.
- Promotional Activity: Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and activities designed to generate awareness in the marketplace including the dissemination of marketing collateral.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to identify new opportunities.
- Sales Reporting: Accurately update and maintain sales activities (contacts, calls, meetings) and client information in our CRM system.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team, marketing, and product development to share market feedback and insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in sales, with a strong preference for experience in SaaS or technology sales.
- Excitement and passion for cold calling and generating new business opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a simple, professional manner.
