The Role

  • Continuing, Full time
  • Level 8 - $107,199 to $121,340 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
  • Bathurst (remote working arrangements may be negotiated)

You will contribute to the development of relationships with the corporate sector, government and other agencies leading to co-investment, contracts and grants.

This is a collaborative role working with a broad range of academic and professional stakeholders to build new research and development opportunities, expand existing relationships with partners by growing the number of research and industry collaborations, student placements and industry PhDs.

To be successful you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience coordinating Business development projects in large or complex organisations.
  • An understanding of the Australian AI and cyber security sector
  • Stakeholder engagement skills to effectively manage and develop strategic relationships.
  • Experience in financial modelling with ability to prepare business cases to ensure proposal viability.
  • Strong project management and process design experience including revenue pipeline management experience (for commercial opportunities).

The Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Futures Institute (AICF) is a new research Institute, aiming to become a world class research centre of excellence in data science, artificial intelligence, and cyber security, to pursue the agenda of regional discovery, showing how AI developed ‘off the beaten track’ and ‘in the wild’ can better serve not only rural and regional communities, but society as a whole, creating a new comparative advantage for Australia internationally.
