About the role
This role would suit someone with 3-5 years experience in business/relationship development, and is responsible for driving revenue growth for the organisation through key income streams including membership, sponsorship, EnviroDevelopment, education and advertising.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintain current and establish new and effective relationships with key stakeholders including members, sponsors, and other partners.
- Lead negotiations and manage all Business Development initiatives to support revenue targets & growth across membership, sponsorship, EnviroDevelopment and advertising.
- Develop new sponsorship opportunities and secure contractual agreements in line with budget targets.
- With guidance from the Executive, identify trends and member needs, building a short/medium/long-term member prospect pipeline, and regularly report on the plan of action.

Skills and experience
Essential criteria:
- Strong Business Development and/or sales experience with demonstrative results
- Ability to engage and develop strong relationships with the team, as well as ability to effectively engage & communicate with members, Council & other key stakeholders
- Must have the right to live and work in Australia
- Must have own vehicle and current drivers licence
Desirable
- Experience working in a member-based organisation
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM
- Understanding of property/urban development/planning would be highly regarded but not essential
