The Business Development Partner is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our franchise partners and the support office team to help achieve the business strategy. These relationships are key to supporting individual business growth and encouraging brand compliance. The Business Development Partner is the first point of contact for franchisees partners whilst assisting the support office to drive improvements and resolution. As the custodians of the EBOS vision and values’ we must continually work to improve outcomes for our business partners.
The role is heavily focused on executing the stores brand strategy to its customer to maximise the business potential and link it to the business outcome’s (Profitability) of our partners.
Assist Franchisees to grow their business via sales, customer experience and profitably by providing advice, support and coaching to:
- Drive the profit margin of the business through data driven decisions that ensures that the store is achieving the best return on floorspace. Right stock in the right space at the right time.
- Develop store teams to deliver the brand strategy via customer and patient care.
- Developing store best practice in managing stock availability, merchandising compliance, promotional management and local area marketing plans.
- Provide guidance with the brands IT platforms.
- Support the Business Development team with the induction process of New Partners and with the operational procedures to ensure a smooth opening of the new Cincotta branded pharmacy.
Ensure compliance to brand, franchise agreements and vendor expectations
- Ensuring franchise processes, policies and agreements are followed in line with the Brand expectations.
- Ensuring compliance to vendor agreements
Conduct store visits as outlined in the Operations Manual
- Complete store visit documentation maintaining clear records of actions and next steps.
- Assist franchise partners to develop and maintain a yearly business plan.
- Maintain open lines of communication with franchisees and support office staff members
- Be the first line of contact for franchise partners
- Measurement and analysis of store performance providing feedback to the Franchise partners and the support office.
- Identifying store requirements / improvements and ideas whilst sharing knowledge with your peers.
- Provide suggestions in how we can improve our ways of working that will deliver value to franchisees or Ventura Health
Support or lead projects that will provide profitable outcomes
- Provide operational insight and leadership with projects that will deliver business improvements
- Explore ways of working to provide partners with better, simpler and cheaper solutions.

Experience:
- 2+ years of franchise experience
- Preferably 2+ years pharmacy experience
- 3+ years senior retail store management experience
Skills:
- Ability to develop meaningful relationships to inspire and motivate business owners and store management teams.
- Systematic, analytical and constructive approach to problem solving
- Self-motivated and organized who works well on their own and is a strong team player.
- A natural trainer who enjoys helping others to succeed.
- A keen understanding of how to support others to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ability to influence people into making informed decisions
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Detail orientated, accountable, organised and able to meet deadlines
- High quality business acumen and strong communication skills to be able to represent the Group professionally both internally and externally.
- Negotiation and analytical skills with the ability to draw conclusions and outcomes.
- An understanding of healthcare, pharmaceutical and the retail market.
- Financial business acumen
- Strong emotional intelligence and active listening
- Ability to work in fast paced, high performance environment with challenging targets
