HAYS Technology in Melbourne is currently partnered with a large private sector organisation located in Melbourne CBD, Victoria.
We are seeking to appoint a Business Intelligence Analyst for the Melbourne CBD location, with flexibility to work from home a few days a week.
Your new role
A Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for contributing to the success of the organisation by providing specialist report writing, technical expertise and advanced requirement's analysis skills. With strong data analysis and data presentation skills, you will be responsible for:
- Gathering requirements for data insight projects and producing statements of work and scope documentation.
- Creating and presenting data visualisations that communicate insights effectively, presenting clearly to stakeholders to influence decision-making
- Hosting interactive requirements gathering discussions and workshops involving both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure a holistic understanding of a project needs communicating progress and requirements to both business and technical stakeholders.
- Designing, developing, and enhancing reporting content in line with business requirements.
- Collecting, analysing business requirements, providing insightful recommendations, designing solutions and developing reporting content for their needs.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Demonstrated experience in creating SQL Server Reporting Services (Power BI Report Server) reporting content.
- Demonstrated experience in creating new Power BI reports and dashboards (on-premise & cloud)
- Demonstrated experience in developing new reporting content in SSRS (paginated & mobile reports)
- Demonstrated experience in supporting existing SSRS & Power BI reporting content
- Demonstrated experience of writing queries and scripts in Microsoft T-SQL
- Connecting and query SQL Server Analysis Services OLAP cubes for reporting content
- Demonstrated experience in conveying complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Please note: Due to the nature of our client, for this role you MUST be an Australian Citizen.
What you'll get in return
This role offers you an annual salary of upto $120,000 including superannuation with additional permanent employee benefits.
