The Jacky Winter Group is seeking an experienced Business/Operations Manager to help lead us into our second decade.

Key Details

🔖 Initially an 18 month contract role, with opportunity to rollover to permanent thereafter.

⏰ Full Time, Monday – Friday.

📍 Collingwood, Melbourne, Australia.

🚃 This is an on-site role with flexibility for 1-2 days remote after one month training period. It’s important that the applicant is located in, or close to, Melbourne.

Established in 2007, The Jacky Winter Group (http://jackywinter.com/) is a next-gen artist representation agency with offices in the USA, UK and Australia, housing over a hundred commercial artists. We have a growing First Nations roster called Solid Lines (http://solidlines.agency/), as well as a freelance production service for artists called Choreus (http://choreus.co/). We solicit and produce over a thousand creative briefs a year globally, ranging from highly visual campaigns and animated commercials, to editorial, publishing and environmental installations. We cater to corporations and brands, advertising agencies, publishers and design studios who are looking to create stunning artwork to elevate their space, product, brand or marketing message. We have always been ambitious in what we offer, punching above our weight with a small and expert team to deliver outstanding creative and financial results for our clients and artists.

Position overview

It is a truly exciting time at Jacky Winter. We have been working on projects that are bigger than ever before, with the largest number of talent and staff we’ve had since we started 17 years ago.

In this inaugural role you will be the day-to-day manager of our talent agency, which comprises 15 team members across AUS, US and UK, reporting to our Founding Director only.

Your leadership and accountability will allow the Founding Director to focus more on special projects and innovation, eventually stepping away from the day-to-day remit. You will look out for the sustainable future of the business, starting with our financial modelling and reporting processes.

Alongside this work, you’ll be managing our Australian production team, supporting their continued success in sourcing and converting new business for our artists.

You’ll be a grounding and motivating member of our team, championing our artists and the work we do.

Your capabilities

  • Financial management experience, growing and structuring a multi-region small business.
  • A proven capability of making sales targets and growing revenue.
  • Problem solving and risk assessment skills, in order to find ways to move forward with the business’s goals and values front of mind.
  • Proficiency in Xero or other financial reporting tools.
  • Prior hands-on experience pricing and producing creative projects.
