In this traditional yet pivotal Business Services Manager role, you will utilise your extensive tax and compliance expertise to support and lead a team of skilled Accountants. This office-based position, operating from 9am to 5:30pm, emphasizes team development, client relationship management, and regulatory compliance. Additionally, you may engage with larger client accounts as necessary.
Your Key Responsibilities will be:
- Team Leadership and Development: Provide strategic guidance and robust support to a team of 5 Accountants. Foster a collaborative, productive environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.
- Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients. Serve as a trusted advisor, delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of Medical and Allied Health professionals.
- Regulatory Compliance and Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the firm's compliance and adoption of best practices.
- File Review and Reporting: Conduct thorough reviews of completed financial files and prepare comprehensive reports for monthly presentations to Partners.
- Financial Preparation and Oversight: Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial accounts, income tax returns, BAS, and IAS as required.
You will have:
- Minimum of 8+ years in Australian public practice, with a substantial background in tax and compliance.
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing teams, budgets, and client partnerships effectively.
- Possess a sharp analytical mind capable of dissecting financial data and providing strategic advice.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
- Meticulous attention to detail with outstanding organizational and time management capabilities.
- Proven history of delivering exceptional client service and expertly handling client interactions.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing regulations, team dynamics, client needs, and industry trends.
