Business Services Practice Manager

This exciting role of Operations Manager is pivotal within our Business Services team. We are looking for an experienced operations manager with exceptional client and team management skills to join our dedicated Business Services team in our Moonee Ponds office in Melbourne. 

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring high standards of customer service and productivity are maintained to the Company’s client base.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Co-ordinate jobs and client activities between Business Services Managers, Bookkeepers, Accountants and Reviewers, to ensure a high level of service delivery and quality services standards are achieved. 

In this role, your duties will include monitoring of:

• new and existing client engagements,
• work in-progress, job completion and turnaround times, 
• timesheets, time allocations to budgets on jobs and productivity,
• payment of services provided,
• adherence to systems and processes,
• communications across different division within the company
• oversee our administration and quality review functions.
• other duties as required from time to time.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

• Qualifications that include an Accounting degree and/or membership of an Accounting Association 
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accounting or professional practice
• Good time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional skills and ability to work with others.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, with limited supervision and direction, 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Self-motivated and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• A high level of Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM) knowledge
• Use of Microsoft Office products
• Willingness to learn, adapt, show initiative and be a positive team player and team leader.

• High standard of ethics, confidentiality and professionalism
