The Business Support Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the organisation’s administrative and financial operations, contributing to overall business success. In a newly created organisation, you will have a pivotal role in establishing strong processes and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the organisation’s operations. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Services, you will have the opportunity to make this role your own and gain exposure across corporate services functions.
The role will be based in Melbourne, considering part-time and full-time applicants with flexible work patterns on offer.
Typically, in this role you will:
- Assist with financial tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts and preparing reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and work closely with stakeholders to develop accurate projections.
- Maintain accurate records, analyse data and generate reports and analysis as needed.
- Assist with the rollout of projects and process mapping including scheduling, documentation and reporting, stakeholder management and providing quality assurance activities.
- Help implement company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the office including liaising with building management.
- Provide administrative support including handling inquiries from customers, scheduling meetings and taking minutes.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing opportunities and issues.
- A self-starter who thrives in an ever-evolving environment.
- Demonstrated exposure in Project Coordination and Process Implementation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Sound analytical skills and basic financial modelling skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in varied corporate services or administration roles.
