- Salary Range Band 5 $76,848 - $88,969 plus 11% Super
- Six month, full time temporary position
- Located at St Kilda Town Hall with flexible working arrangements possible.
About the Organisation
The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors. These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more. About the Role
The City Growth and Development division comprises of over 200 FTE across the departments of City Development, City Growth and Culture, City Planning and Sustainability, and Safety & Amenity.
Reporting to the Divisional Performance and Improvement Lead, this role will provide high level Business Support across the division as required including a full range of administrative support services.
We are looking for a proactive and skilled administrator to champion best practice, support divisional staff with training and continuous improvement, and contribute to a strong culture of customer service and organisational performance.
Duties:
- Monitor Customer, CEO and Councillor requests and support these being actioned in a timely manner.
- Champion Customer Service, Records Management, and OHS in the division including promotion of policies, procedures, and tools and first level support.
- Support human resource and administration activities.
- Provide communication and event support for the division including divisional workshops, service expos, and intranet content maintenance.
- Support overall good governance of the division by supporting the preparation of reports and briefings and monitor the progress and flow of documentation, calendar and inbox management as required.
Skills and Experience
- Experience in providing administration support to diverse and specialised teams is essential, including accurate and efficient processing with demonstrated attention to detail and quality.
- Knowledge and experience with the relevant technology, procedures and processes within the organisation.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to operate a variety of software systems or applications as needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.
