About the Role
Due to growth in our business, Tec-NQ is seeking a Business Support Officer within its business services team. The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of administration tasks supporting the whole of business.
Our ideal person will undertake duties such as:
- Assist finance team with accounts payable and receivable, purchase orders as well as the end of month processes.
- Collection of debtor accounts.
- Maintaining contractor compliance documentation.
- Assist Human Resources in a range of administrative tasks ensuring confidentiality is always maintained.
- Contributing to projects and the improvement of processes.
- Reception coverage as required.

Tec-NQ’s RTO delivers nationally accredited training in Townsville, Mackay and Cairns. Vocational training is provided across broad industry areas including Construction, Electro-technology, Engineering, Automotive and Information Technology.
Essential:
- Computer experience with Microsoft 365, accounting software and databases.
- Demonstrated exceptional level of attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the capacity to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and written communication skills, including the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
- The ability to actively participate in and effectively contribute to a team environment within an organisation that values employment equity, anti-discrimination and ethical behaviour.
- The possession of, or an ability to gain a Queensland ‘Blue Card’ to work with children.
- The possession and maintenance of a current Australian Drivers Licence.
