Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a State Government Agency to engage a Business Support Officer. This position is located in their busy Macquarie Park office for an initial contract starting ASAP until 22/12/2024 with 6-month extensions available.
About the Position
The role undertakes a range of business research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of the business, in line with established operational plans and objectives.
Duties
- Provide business and operational support to the CIO and key IT leads
- Monitor and report on business plans, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare, update and collate documentation and records
- Manage diaries for the CIO and key staff
- Act as a first line of defense in fielding inquiries for CIO and key staff
- Help ensure the business complies with legislation and frameworks
- Undertake basic research and analysis in the assigned Business areas
- Contribute to the preparation of briefs
- Assist the team to complete tasks and implement business plans
- Facilitate team meetings
- Experience with SAP (desired)
- Experience with Microsoft programs (essential)
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Resilience in the face of adversity
- Experience being an active team member who is not afraid to ask questions and push for answers
- Foundational knowledge of business budgets
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Flexible work arrangements - work from home 3 days per week (dependent on CIO)
- Strong likelihood of multiple contract extension with 6-month intervals.
