The Senior Exec team at the Yass Valley Council need you for the vacant position of Executive Support Officer. You will provide much needed support to the Mayor, Councillors, CEO and Directors to ensure corporate planning activities run efficiently and effectively.
Some of the Exec are self-sufficient and some will rely more on your organisational skills, so you are good at managing senior stakeholders. Your days will vary based on what is happening across the Council, however your responsibilities will include will attending and taking minutes for council meetings, coordinating the councillors, Your role will be especially important during the upcoming election period when there is a lot happening.
Your strong coordination, communication, and IT skills will come into play to support the senior team, particularly during ‘caretaker’ period when no major decisions are made.
This position is contracted for 12 months and may evolve to permanency after this time. You will enjoy the benefits of working a 35-hour week, a 9-day fortnight, free parking and working with a high-level stakeholder cohort.
The salary range for this position is based on expertise and experience, as a base level you must demonstrate experience working to support senior stakeholders, with high level organisational skills, being able to work under pressure.
