About the Role
The Business Support Officer is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative functions to support the unit’s operational and strategic objectives, in line with the Council Plan.
The role will be involved in coordinating and supporting the delivery of Property and Commercial Services functions and projects through tasks such as diary management, procurement, development of presentations and briefing papers, research and event management.
Reporting to the Manager Property and Commercial Services the core responsibilities include:
- Provide high level, trusted and confidential administrative support
- Coordinate and manage the Property and Commercial Services unit purchasing and procurement processes
- Support inbox and diary management requirement for the Manager
- Support the Units business goals and objectives by supporting the development of Strategies, Policies, Plans and Procedures
- Assist teams by providing advice in preparation of Executive Briefings papers, Council Briefing Notes, Council reports and Council presentations as well as create and maintain an Exec and Council Meeting Register
- Unit reporting and presentations
