Employment Type – Ongoing, Full Time
Salary – $133,459 pa + Superannuation + Leave Loading
Your role
We are looking for an energetic, flexible and motivated Business Unit Manager for Cook Freeze Food Service Facility within the Geoffrey Pearce Correctional Centre who will be responsible for the daily operational management of high-volume food manufacturing. The Facility manufactures approx. 12,000 pro-serve meals per day, Monday to Friday.
What you’ll do
As part of this role, the successful candidate must be willing to drive improvement in the provision of Food Services to inmates by being innovative, manage cost of sales across the CSI network, focus on efficiency and manage new technology, raw materials, finish goods and quality via project management process and develop new menu’s that result in positive feedback from inmates relating to presentation, taste and texture as well as the following:
- Supervision and management of staff and inmates
- Strong time management and computer skills
- Administration experience working in a high-pressure environment and managing to deliver key business objectives within set timeframes
- Experience in leadership and mentoring to staff and inmates in accordance with CSI Business planning.
- Experience in managing budgets of the work area and taking responsibility to ensure that resources are effectively allocated while meeting the operational objectives
What we’re looking for
- Current Tertiary or minimum certificate III in Commercial Cookery or relevant food related trade, and/or business with demonstrated experience at similar level
- Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate
- Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified time-frames
- Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
- Experience with Policy and Standard Operating Procedure writing
- Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and maintaining management systems relating to Food Safety Systems, WHS and Quality and to improve business performance.
- Strong written communication skills and experience in process & procedure development, HACCP plans/ manuals, submission development. Auditing and Project Management experience highly regarded
