We are a small friendly crew looking for an enthusiastic Butcher / Smallgoods Person to join our team.
Job tasks and responsibilities
- Boning
- Slicing
- Sausage Production
- Smallgoods Production
- Daily Cleaning and Sanitisation
- Packing Orders
- Stock Rotation
- Providing daily and weekly reports to management
- Optimising performance and processes on the production lines to ensure compliance with the production plan
- Working with management to constantly seek and implement improvements to improve efficiency
- Consistently demonstrating behaviours which are aligned with the company’s Code of Conduct
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Skills and experience
- Qualification in Meat Processing - Butchering / Boner / Slicer
- Previous experience working as a Boner or Slicer and experience in Butchering and Smallgoods
- Experience in HACCP and Food Safety and Hygiene
- Ability to Maintain pace of Production
- Willing to fit into a team environment
- Willing to adapt to company procedures & policies
- Attention to detail
- Sound technical knowledge of meat processing
- Excellent verbal & written communication
- Have the Ability to work within a team or autonomously
- Strong work ethic with the capability to multi task
- Must be punctual with reliable transport
- Must be capable of early starts
- Must be Physically fit with the ability to work within a highly proactive team
- Ability to pass a ‘Drug and Alcohol’ screen
