About the Project
Olympic Dam Mine, operated by the largest mining company in the world, BHP is approximately 550km North-West of Adelaide, mining copper, gold and uranium. Redpath commenced a new contract in July 2023, providing Shotcreting, Cablebolting, Batch Plant services and Fleet maintenance. As one of the largest contractors on site, you will gain valuable experience to help grow your maintenance career in underground mining.
The role involves
- Working a 14 day on, 14 day off roster, 12hr shifts
- Being responsible for the whole cable bolting process and ensure that enough raw materials and drill consumables are available on the job site at the start of shift
- Ensure machinery used is cleaned and serviced regularly and any mechanical issues or damage is reported immediately
- Accurately complete all required daily activity and safety reporting
We are looking for
- Experience in underground operations operating a cable bolter
- Ability to read and understand cable bolt layouts
- Strong knowledge & understanding of ground support standards
- Current First Aid certificate or ability to get prior to commencement
- Valid manual drivers licence
- A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done — safely.
