Detailed DescriptionAbout the RoleThe CAD (Computer-Aided Design)/BIM (Building Information Management) Information Coordinator is accountable for maintaining the University's drawings database and BIM models, being responsible for reviewing and inputting electronic drawing documentation into the existing structure, coordinating this material for accuracy, and providing ease of access to this material and required information for relevant University stakeholders.The continual monitoring and updating of this database and models are essential in assisting the University to make informed decisions in the areas of space planning, asset management, and project design and development.If successful for the role, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertake CAD and BIM tasks to assist the Property Unit.
- Preparation of CAD concept plans, sketches, mark-ups and diagrams to assist in feasibility tests, reporting and scoping.
- Assist Space Management in maintaining the CAD documents used by their nominated space management system.
- Maintain as-built documentation database system and manage system's access by authorised users.
- Work with the University's IT unit to implement a new document storage and search system to replace the existing (DIMS).
- Review and update drawings and models as required.
- Contribute to the improvement and development of the University's CAD & BIM design standards.
- Continual review of documentation provided by consultants and contractors, and internal as-built database for compliance with the University's design standards.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand other team's dependencies and requirements related to CAD and BIM documents.
Remuneration/SalaryRemuneration & BenefitsBase Salary Range: $92,851 to $100,534 pa (HEW 6)This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities.This position is full time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
