Coordinator Data and Information

1x Permanent Full Time, 35 hours, 5 days per week

Salary: $ 122,460.62 - $134,185.51 + Super

Close Date: 5th June 2024

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Data and Information Coordinator plays a crucial role in our organization by managing and maintaining Data and Information resources to support informed decision-making, strategic planning, and operational efficiency.

This role involves collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating data, as well as ensuring data quality and security. You will collaborate with various departments to meet their data needs and contribute to the organization's overall success. They are also responsible for the planning, coordination and management of the Council Geographic Information System (GIS), geo-spatial data repositories and cartographic production.

You will also develop and implement a robust framework for data management, leveraging data analytic tools to generate insights, and identify improvement opportunities. Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.

ABOUT YOU

The successful applicant will have:

·        Tertiary qualifications in data management, information systems or a related business field and/or equivalent demonstrable experience

·        Proven experience in data management, analysis or a related role

·        Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with data visualisation techniques

·        Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations

·        Substantial experience with administering and supporting GIS and Geodatabases solutions including GIS software upgrade and patching

·        Experience in researching, analysing, evaluating GIS development including responsibility for system analysis and Geodatabase modelling

·        Experience in managing data collection, translation, integration, maintenance and map production

·        Experience in writing detailed technical GIS reports, proposals and submissions and a good oral communication skills

·        Experience in managing contracts and contractors

·        Extensive knowledge of database systems including Microsoft SQL and data warehousing

·        Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as data modelling, data mining and statistical analysis
