Due to continued growth our client a leading specialist manufacturer of composite panel solutions catering predominately for the Caravan & RV industry are now seeking the services of an experienced professional to lead the Design Department within a dynamic and growing manufacturing company.
Fulltime position - Hours 7am -4pm
Roles / Responsibilities:
- Vast experience with CAD and CAM software and the experience to evolve the department through software and process improvements
- Ability to produce clear and easy to read CAD drawings for manufacturing
- Working knowledge of a range of manufacturing processes and materials
- Estimating Drawing time for planning
- Estimating CNC running time for costing
- Running product trials
- Create production documents and work orders
- General production office support as required
Essential skills and experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience running a 3 axis flat bed CNC Router machine in timber or composite industries.
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing a Design team
- Sound experience and good productivity with CAD to produce clear and easy to read drawings and manufacturing documentation
- 5+ years of experience programming CNC software to create cutting programs to achieve customer drawing requirements
- Working knowledge of a range of composite manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to manage time and work under pressure while maintaining precision
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Ability to adhere to company policies and procedures
- A positive "can do attitude"
- Flexibility to work between the hours of 6am and 6pm
- Attention and experience to safety, quality, efficiency
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience in the Composite caravan or truck industries
- Experience with 5S and Lean Manufacturing
- Programming ART CNC Router machine
