Qualifications & experience
- CAD/CAM programming (Mastercam or Fusion 360 preferred).
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and cutting speeds/feed rates.
- Positive Team Building Attitude and the Ability to take lead among the team
- The ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- A commitment to high quality work with precision, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Willingness to participate in on-going on the job training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Ability to pass a pre-employment police checks. Full Australian Working Rights.
- Competent with 5 axis milling of complex surfaces and parts.
- Have a minimum of 5 years CNC/CAM experience.
- Experience in building fixtures/jigs.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate 3,4,5 Axis CNC Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machines to produce all types of Metal, Plastic parts according to an AS9100 and ISO9001 standard.
- Conduct routine maintenance and ensure machines are in optimal working condition via Preventative Maintenance schedule.
- Product prototyping, testing and development. Fixture/pallet design and development for production runs.
- Perform quality control inspections to verify the accuracy and precision of finished parts.
- Work with management team to prioritize and schedule machining jobs. Continuously monitor production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure workplace is clean and clear for effective and safe production. Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
